Superior flavor of the famous Blue Lake in plump 6" round, dark green, fleshy pods.  Any good well drained soil with a pH above 6 will grow beans.  Beans do not tolerate cool wet soil.  When soil reaches at least 50 degrees Farenheit sow seed 4" apart, 1" deep in rows 24" apart.  Thinning is not necessary.  Succuessive planting can be made every 3 weeks.  Water regularly and fertilize when 3" tall.  Harvest: When pods are 6" long and plump.  Pick regularly to encourage new pod set.
